TelcoBridges Still Supports Older Offerings

By Rory Lidstone, TMCnet Contributing Writer

It’s been a busy year for TelcoBridges (News - Alert). Indeed, the designer and manufacturer of VoIP media gateways has landed numerous partnerships since January — for example, the company’s Tmedia gateways were selected by LANCK Telecom back in April to carry voice traffic around the world — and recently introduced a major expansion to its product family. As such, TelcoBridges has taken the time to reaffirm that it will not discontinue support for its legacy or “end-of-life” products.

Actually, this reiteration of the company’s “Non-EOL” policy is said to be complementary to the recent introduction of TelcoBridges’ new Tsig signaling gateways. Launched during the first week of September, the Tsig family is designed to provide the reliability and stability of the Tmedia gateway, but as a targeted signaling solution. Overall, Tsig gateways are suitable for the signalling requirements of larger Tier-1 carriers, as well as smaller MNO customers.

TelcoBridges’ ongoing support for older products allows customers to deploy exactly the solution they need, without having to worry about support.

“As other equipment providers discontinue legacy products and shut down support, we at TelcoBridges realize that our customers — some of which are among the largest Tier-1 carriers in the world — will always need to maintain 100 percent control and predictability over their network,” said Gaetan Campeau (News - Alert), CEO of TelcoBridges, in a statement. “As such, we would like to reaffirm our commitment to our customers that we will always support them and continue to support our products.”

Remarkably, TelcoBridges has yet to discontinue a product since it was first founded back in 2002. In other words, even the company’s initial offerings from over 10 years ago are still supported to this day. Meanwhile, recent investments in broadening and enhancing its training and support offerings should demonstrate just how committed TelcoBridges continues to be toward its older products.
