VoIP Switch - LANCK Telecom Selects TelcoBridges' VoIP Gateways to Support Global Voice Traffic

April 16, 2013

TelcoBridges (News - Alert), which designs and manufactures carrier grade VoIP media gateways, has revealed that LANCK Telecom, a provider of voice traffic to more than 190 countries, has selected TelcoBridges Tmedia gateways to carry voice traffic around the globe.

LANCK Telecom powers a network that supports various types of carrier-to-carrier interconnection including SS7, ISDN PRI, VoIP-H.323 and VoIP-SIP. In fact, the company claims that more than half of the world’s Skype (News - Alert) traffic crosses LANCK’s state-of-the-art network.

LANCK originally turned to TelcoBridges to support its growth and expansion. The cost of training and annual maintenance from equipment providers was getting out of control, and the company's costs were inflated by the need to deploy controllers and other hardware to manage the network. It ultimately selected Pulse (News - Alert) Supply, a global supplier of enabling technologies for next generation networks, offering wireless, WAN and VoIP solutions, to provide TelcoBridges’ high-performance VoIP gateways.

“We supplied LANCK with TelcoBridges’ TMG-3200 STM-1 VoIP gateway for an initial deployment at the core of their network, and LANCK is now adopting the products for its international POPs,” said Michael Banschbach, vice president of Pulse Supply, in a statement.

According to Banschbach, Tmedia is the right solution for LANCK as it provides a substantial performance improvement over their previous system, while ensuring 100 percent uptime that LANCK needs to grow its business around the globe.

Moreover, the VoIP gateway from TelcoBridges fulfills the roles of a media gateway without the need for additional hardware. As a result, LANCK is able to leverage an alternative to NGN solutions while simultaneously delivering superior performance and reliability at a lower cost.

The TelcoBridges Tmedia VoIP gateway also supports n+1 STM-1 protection and TelcoBridges renowned 24/7 support.

Commenting on the new partnership, Konstantin Avdeev, CTO for LANCK Telecom concluded, “In order to provide our customers with the service, the highest network reliability and the most competitive rates, we continuously test our suppliers in order to find the best solutions available. We can’t say enough about the value we’ve received from TelcoBridges and Pulse Supply.”
