Accelerating Sales in the 'Everything as a Service' Business Model

By Tracey E. Schelmetic, TMCnet Contributor

As the telecom industry becomes more complex, more layered and nuanced and more dependent on partnerships, many companies are struggling to find channel players and wholesale service providers with which they can develop partnerships that cross traditional lines of business.

Companies know how critical this is: it’s the way to expand their service portfolios through new suppliers and new relationships with other types of services and equipment distributors, particularly in light of the rising business model called “XaaS,” or “everything as a service.” But it’s not always easy to find the right partners and to get the most out of these partnerships.

This week, the CVX Channel Vision Expo event will be collocated with ITEXPO (News - Alert), taking place at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Tim Basa, vice president of sales for BullsEye, will speak to this topic. He will be delivering the keynote presentation, “Big Account Sales Accelerator = You Win More Big Deals in Less Time,” and he will share proven methods that will enable telecom and datacom industry players to double their company’s sales or simply improve their win ratios.

The speech, which will be held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 28 in the ACT Conferencing Presentation Theatre, is expected to be standing-room only. Attendees will discover how to implement their big idea using proven low cost, high-impact techniques and strategies to be successful; explore streamlining the process of network delivery with an online marketplace or API; learn more about what is in store for service providers in the days to come; and meet with veteran telecom agents who will talk about how their company made the transition to XaaS, and how the company is currently making real money in the cloud.

“Tim’s highly informative and entertaining presentations have been a highlight of past CVx events. We are honored to have him as part of the upcoming CVx@ITEXPO in Las Vegas,” said Martin Vilaboy, editor-in-chief of ChannelVision Magazine (News - Alert). “Be sure to bring a pen and notebook, as Tim is guaranteed to provide actionable advice that can be applied immediately to sales strategies.”
