Ecessa to Launch WaaSWorlD WANOptimization-as-a-Service at ITEXPO

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Connectivity in an always-on world is essential – especially for the organization with multiple locations. Information, processes and applications must always be available at high speeds, or overall performance of the organization can suffer.

To meet this growing demand, Ecessa (News - Alert) Corporation plans to launch its new WANoptimization-as-a-Service (WaaS), known as WaaSWorlD, at ITEXPO (News - Alert) Austin 2012 this week in Austin, Texas.

The company can be found at booth #1008 at the Austin Convention Center through October 8, 2012.

While WAN optimization is not a new concept, Ecessa is expecting to blaze a new trail with WaaSWorlD. Why? The company is positioning this solution as the ideal choice for the SMB as it takes WAN optimization beyond just online application acceleration and also provides real-time visibility into usage, traffic, congestions and connectivity on the Internet.

When you add in the monitoring capabilities built into the platform, automatic notifications, analytics and data collection, WAN performance is constantly improved.

Ecessa CEO, Ron Thomas, shared that WaaSWorlD will level the playing field for small and mid-sized companies that continue to face the challenges of keeping up with and managing Internet traffic. Long-term success is considered reliant on the reliability and performance of the WAN infrastructure. Now, WAN performance capabilities will be available to any company, regardless of size, at a cost that fits the budget.

A subscription-based service, WaaSWorlD is available through VoIP channel partners, managed service providers (MSPs) and value-added resellers (VARs). Users pay only a monthly fee, thereby eliminating the stress and high cost of an upfront appliance purchase.

Those MSPs, VARs and VoIP interested in becoming a WaaSWorlD Partner can find out more information on the company’s partner page.

"Ecessa's new service-based model dovetails perfectly into SymQuest's Managed Services practice," said Mark Jennings, director of virtual CIO services, in a statement. "We definitely plan to evaluate the prospect of adding this dimension to our existing partnership with Ecessa."

The WAN optimization solution includes a number of perks for the end-user, including automatic monitoring and reporting capabilities, uptime performance of 99.999 percent, automatic traffic management, bandwidth allocation for critical business applications, movement to healthy WANs from poor performing or downed paths, and seamless failover for video, voice and data applications.

In short, WaaSWorlD, according to Thomas, is the culmination of the company’s nearly 45-year commitment to delivering affordable and sophisticated telecom solutions to the small and mid-markets. The company’s WAN link controllers include the PowerLink, ShieldLink and ClariLink, providing reliable, affordable and optimized Internet connectivity.

TMC (News - Alert) just recently announced that its coveted 2012 INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award was given to Ecessa’s ClariLink. The WAN link controller manages multiple public IP connections and provides automatic network failover and link optimization.
