Samsung's Chef Collection blends chef-inspired features and thoughtful
technology in a professional level appliance line that reflects how
people live in the kitchen today. This sophisticated suite of cooktops,
pro ranges, wall ovens, hoods, dishwashers and refrigerators - including
the industry's first 42" 4-Door Flex model - lets home chefs handle the
preparation of any meal with proficiency and style, whether they are 5
course, 5 minute or 5 ingredient cooks. Chef Collection also integrates
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities for seamless control and monitoring of
the cooking process via smartphone.
"The Built-in category is a fast-growing area of opportunity for us, and
we've mad some significant inroads over the past couple of years," said
Tom Halford, Vice President, Premium & Builder, Home Appliance, Samsung
Electronics America. "Chef Collection is our latest introduction for the
category, bringing smart technology and beautiful design that is
meaningful and caters to how consumers live their lives today."
The Chef Collection line brings many innovative features to the built-in
category. These include View Inside cameras, first made possible by the
Samsung Family Hub refrigerator, which lets users see inside their
refrigerator from anywhere. Chef Collection induction cooktops feature
Virtual Flame technology, a large FlexZone™ cooking surface, and
LED-illuminated knobs which signal whether the cooktop is on or off.
The Family Hub and other connected appliances will also be on display at
ADDS, as Samsung demonstrates how its home appliances make the smart
home more intelligent and personalized. The 2018 Family Hub refrigerator
enables consumers to do what wasn't possible in the kitchen before. This
includes new food management features that allow shopping lists and meal
preparation to work together based on what's in the refrigerator,
including tracking food expiration dates and recipe creation. Family Hub
is also more intelligent, with the ability to monitor and control the
smart home from the refrigerator via SmartThings, and Bixby which
responds to voice commands and gives a personalized overview of the
day's calendar events, weather and more.
The Architectural Digest Design Show, now in its 17th year,
draws approximately 40,000 attendees to see innovations in kitchen,
bath, furniture, accessories, lighting, and art.
