PASCO Scientific Names Richard Escott as President
Engineering and technology industry veteran Richard Escott has been
named president of PASCO
Scientific, a leader in 21st century science education solutions for
grades K-12 and higher education. Escott has been with PASCO since 2014,
serving as the company's vice president of engineering.
With over 30 years experience in the tech world, Escott began his career
at Hewlett Packard where he held several leadership positions including
10 years as director of engineering. In that position he managed a
globally distributed R&D organization with more than 200 people in teams
across the US and India. Prior to joining PASCO he served as the
director of program management at VeriFone Systems.
Long considered the leading provider of innovative solutions that
stimulate student interest and hands-on learning in science, PASCO
reinforced that position in 2016 when it unveiled a complete line of
affordable wireless
sensors. Developed under Escott's leadership, the wireless sensor
line has been recognized by organizations and awards programs around the
globe, including the British Educational Suppliers Association Bett
Awards and several US awards programs such as the Tech & Learning
magazine Awards of Excellence. Earlier this year PASCO received the
coveted Product Innovation Award for STEM in the GESS
Education Awards (GEA) competition, as well as the 2017 SIIA
CODiE Award for Best Science Instructional Solution.
"Throughout his career Richard Escott has proven himself to be an
incredibly talented visionary engineer, as well as a leader who
possesses the skills to link business strategy, people and processes to
achieve challenging business objectives," said PASCO founder Paul
Stokstad. "He has chalked up some stunning accomplishments since joining
PASCO and is committed to making a significant contribution to science
education."
