Trafficware CEO and CTO Presenting at Powerhouse Tech Conference Smart Cities Connect
Trafficware
CEO Jon
Newhard and Trafficware CTO Darren
Beyer will present at this year's Smart Cities Connect conference
that will address the future of traffic management in sessions
discussing "Smart City Solutions: Mobility" and "Data and the City:
Unlocking Big Benefits."
The 2017 Smart Cities Connect Conference & Expo will be held at the
Austin Convention Center on June 25-28, 2017, and is co-located with the
US Ignite Application Summit that convenes 200+ global city leaders to
prospect and partner with innovative technology and service providers.
The event is hosted by the City of Austin, one of the "Top Ten
Innovative Smart Cities to Watch" that uses technology to better connect
communities, improve citizen services, and find more intelligent ways to
manage resources.
CEO Jon Newhard explains, "Intelligent transportation is critical to
supporting the infrastructure required to manage mobility applications
for Smart Cities. The 'internet of things' or IoT is impacting
transportation, and Trafficware is at the vanguard of this technological
change with over 1,800 Connected Signals deployed around the United
States."
"Our technology collects and streams the essential data communications
between the intersection and the car," continued CTO Darren Beyer. "By
using our central
transportation management system AMS.now, its Connected
Vehicle module, and our Pod wireless detection system, a community
can be quickly equipped for smart city transportation applications.
Trafficware takes pride in being the only traffic management company
capable of delivering Connected Vehicle solutions to production vehicles
today.
"Most importantly, these applications improve public safety, traffic
efficiency and the environment."
*** Session Descriptions ***
City Solutions: Mobility -- World class technology companies
present smart solutions and services to a panel of global city
officials. Each presenting company will have the opportunity to present
data, client testimonials and closing arguments for why they are
best-in-class within their market segment. City officials will have the
opportunity to lead a short Q&A session with each presenting company.
This educational session is organized for both city officials,
technology providers and all delegates interested in smart IoT
technology vertical market solutions and services.
Data and the City: Unlocking Big Benefits -- IoT is generating
massive volumes of structured and unstructured data, and an increasing
share of this data is being deployed on cloud services. While
innovations in storage and managed services have sped up the capture
process, accessing and understanding the data itself still pose a
significant last-mile challenge. As a result, demand is growing for
analytical tools that seamlessly connect to and combine a wide variety
of cloud-hosted data sources. Such tools enable cities to explore and
visualize any type of data stored anywhere, helping them discover hidden
opportunity in their IoT investment.
