Education at DAC 2016: Tutorials and Workshops

Continuing its dedication to education for designers, researchers, academics and tool developers in the design and automation of electronic systems, 53rd Design Automation Conference (DAC) has released its program of tutorials and workshops for 2016. The 53^rd DAC will be held in the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas from Sunday, June 5 to Thursday, June 9. DAC is the premier conference devoted to the design and automation of electronic systems, offering attendees outstanding training, education, exhibits and networking opportunities.

"Education is one of DAC's primary goals, and we are fortunate to have so many experts willing to share their knowledge," said Chuck Alpert, 53^rd DAC General Chair. "The all-day workshops and in-depth tutorials this year -- along with attending presentations, visiting the exhibit floor and networking - will help designers, academics, researchers and developers make the decisions that carry electronic systems into the future."

Workshops, which run from 9:00am to 6:00 pm on Sunday, June 5, include:

• DAC Workshop on Computing in Heterogeneous, Autonomous 'n' Goal-Oriented Environments (Change) Workshop 1, in the Embedded Systems and Design tracks. Topic areas: Emerging Technologies, General Interest, Reconfigurable Systems
• International Workshop on Design Automation for Cyber-physical Systems Workshop 2, in the Design and IoT tracks. Topic area: Cyber-physical Systems
• System-to-Silicon Performance Modeling and Analysis - Power, Temperature and Reliability Workshop 3, in the Embedded Systems and Design tracks. Topic areas: Cyber-physical Systems, System Architectures & SoC, Codesign & System Design
• ACM/IEEE DAC Workshop on Internet of Things (IoT) Workshop 4, in the IoT and Design tracks. Topic areas: General Interest, Emerging Technologies, Circuit Design
• Low-power Image Recognition Challenge (LPIRC) Workshop 5, in the Design and Embedded Systems tracks. Topic areas: Low-power & Reliability, System Architectures & SoC

One and one-half hour Embedded Tutorials are offered from Monday, June 5 through Wednesday, June 7 include:
