), a provider of “customer centric” self-service solutions for phone-based transactions is set to showcase
its IVVO Video IVR service at Mobile World Congress (News
) event, held in Barcelona this week.
SpeechStorm has been behind some of Europe’s largest Video IVR-driven mobile banking services. In the event, it is to exhibit its next generation of self service Video IVR capabilities on the Northern Ireland Mobile Excellence stand (IE61, Hall 1) which is sponsored by Invest NI, the economic development organisation for Northern Ireland.
IVVR (Interactive Voice and Video Response), also known as video IVR, adds new value to the overall mobile experience. It does this by merging familiar voice-based self service capabilities with video to create a compelling visual experience, which further facilitates the caller to relate with a real-time video stream by pressing DTMF buttons on a handset or through speech recognition. The applications of the Video IVR are delivered via a 3G Video Call to a mobile set and therefore are compatible with most of the 3G video enabled phones. In the last year itself SpeechStorm’s Video IVR in the Mobile World Congress created a rage and secured high profile market traction with both banks and mobile operators.
SpeechStorm is linked with a lot of satisfied customers and also has some new customers in its list including two of Turkey’s largest banks, Turkiye Is Bankasi (Isbank) and Akbank who took advantage of their country’s new 3G network launch to offer Video IVR mobile banking services to their 25+ Million customers. Etisalat (News
), a Middle East based telecommunication giant was the first to offer Video IVR customer care services to its 8.5 million Egyptian customers using SpeechStorm’s Video IVR.
Damian Kelly is VP of Strategic Development at SpeechStorm and is very positive about the market take-up and momentum around Video IVR, “This is an exciting time to be working in video and we have only just scratched the surface of what can be achieved,” he says. “We see an increasing demand from organisations and service providers who want the ability to quickly and easily build their own video applications, not just for 3G video phones, but for a whole range of mobile and IP devices. SpeechStorm is leading the charge in this next generation of Video IVR and over the coming months we will unveil a series of announcements supporting this.”
