Nevales Networks Launches New and Compelling Cloud-based Security Gateway Appliance

At the Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) 2014, Nevales Networks unveiled its next generation, energy-efficient security gateway appliance, Aquamarine.

A part of Nevales’ lineup of cloud security gateways, Aquamarine will redefine the performance and power consumption criteria for a modern distributed enterprise.

Officials said that the high-performance, cost-effective plug-and-play ready security gateway is powered by Ingenic's JZ4780, a highly integrated dual core MIPS-based SoC. It is much smaller than the usual smartphone but delivers matchless performance.

The device is built on the MIPS architecture from Imagination Technologies (News - Alert) and its energy efficiency has improved as compared to Nevales' previous generation products, which consumed around 140mW per GHz under full load.

Aquamarine boasts of futuristic form factor, smart design and other key security features like firewall, VPN, content filtering, authentication, access and policy control. All these make the device one-of-a-kind in the security and connectivity domain.

The on premise Cloud Security Gateway (News - Alert) + Cloud service of Nevales is a unique platform for the carriers to provide a fully managed solution to their customers, as they always look for ways to increase topline revenues, raise ARPU, and decrease churn without incurring any substantial capital expenditures.
