Machine to machine (M2M) technology enables devices to communicate with each other, moving connectivity beyond the computer and into everyday things, many in remote, rugged locations. M2M communications can reduce costs, save time, improve productivity and overall enhance services across industries. Multi-Tech (News - Alert) Systems provides M2M solutions that bring connectivity and communication to companies’ products.
Recently, the company added Rodney Landers, CEO; Scott Wilken, CTO; Daniel Quant, VP of Product Management and Marketing; and Bryan M. Eagle III, VP of Business Development and Communications to its executive management team.
All of these executives bring valuable M2M experience to the table. Landers previously founded Spectrum Design Solutions, which Digi International (News - Alert) purchased. Wilken’s background in M2M and IoT technologies was most recently at Logic PD working with product development and realization. Quant previously worked in product management at Telit, which is taking the M2M ecosystem by storm with ILS Technology and its wireless solutions. Eagle previously worked at Memphis Ventures and consulted clients including Sierra Wireless (News - Alert) and Digi International, also big M2M players.
The additions to the executive management team are reflective of Multi-Tech’s commitment to revitalizing its market strategy and product lines. The company’s products power M2M communications for a variety of applications, including transportation, energy, healthcare and financial, and it is in the right place at the right time as M2M hype continues to explode. Industries across the board are realizing how beneficial M2M applications can be for their business operations, ROI, productivity and data management.
“Multi-Tech’s core product line is well positioned to succeed in the rapidly growing M2M industry and our new products, including our new device management platform, will make it even easier for companies to design, build and deploy solutions on our hardware foundation,” said Rod Landers, CEO of Multi-Tech Systems. “We are excited to showcase our new products at Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) in Barcelona and believe that people viewing our demonstrations will be impressed by the flexibility and strength of our products.”
