BroadSoft VP to Speak at Mobile World Congress WIPJam Workshop

Steve Kaish, vice president, business development at BroadSoft (News - Alert), will lead a featured workshop session at WIPJam @ Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) 2014, a mobile developer-focused event at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

Kaish will lead workshop for developers on new opportunities to leverage mobile operator APIs on February 24.

Kaish’s focus during his session, "New opportunities for developers to leverage mobile operator APIs," will be on the opportunity developers have to leverage mobile operator APIs and earn revenues beyond what is possible through today's existing app store models.

Kaish will lead this informative, interactive workshop session that will address-What types of applications mobile operators view as most in-demand by their enterprise customers and consumers; Resources that exist for developers to overcome funding challenges in getting applications from concept to customer and How focusing on mobile business applications that meet the needs of today's mobile enterprise create previously untapped revenue opportunities.

In December TMCnet reported that BroadSoft has further extended its BroadCloud unified communications (UC) services in Germany by finalizing the acquisition of finocom AG, itself a provider of cloud-delivered UC services.

With Germany representing Europe’s largest economy — it boasts over 3.6 million companies and an annual telecommunications spend of over 60 billion Euros, according to BroadSoft — doubling down there is obviously a big move.

Meanwhile, enterprises in the country are starting to shift from premises-based to cloud-delivered unified communications at a rapid pace, so now is definitely the time to establish a presence there. With finocom, BroadSoft has an even better chance of doing this as it will leverage the company’s cloud service expertise to smooth the market transition and introduction of BroadCloud UC into Germany.

This seems to be standard operating procedure for BroadSoft lately as the company expanded its BroadCloud presence in the U.K. recently with the acquisition of HIPCOM.
