Jungo to Demo Mobile Connectivity solution at Mobile World Congress 2011


Jungo a provider of connectivity systems and driver development tools proposes to showcase its comprehensive Mobile Connectivity solution at Mobile World Congress 2011, in Barcelona, scheduled to take place from February 14 to 17, 2011. According to company sources the Jungo (News - Alert) solution will provide short-range connectivity for mobile platforms that encompass smartphones and 3G mobile hotspots besides including USB modems and machine-to-machine embedded modules.

Smartphones require short-range connectivity high-speed data and media transfer besides personal area connectivity. 3G and 4G data-cards and mobile broadband modems, connect to laptops and PCs through USB and high-performance communication drivers.

Jungo officials added that the Mobile Connectivity solution from Jungo is an end-to-end software system which includes device stacks, host stacks, connectivity drivers and a unique, driverless connectivity solution for mobile broadband modems. Also it is used by several chipset and device manufacturers to launch their products fast and cost-effectively.

The Mobile Connectivity system features USBware Device for Modems which is an embedded USB device stack for digital baseband chipsets, with advanced USB interface protocols for 3G, 3.5G and 4G networks.

USBware Host featured in the solution is an embedded USB host stack with USB-IC support for Mobile Application Platforms, such as digital basebands, SIM cards and embedded RmNet QoS software for 3G Routers. The DriverCore is a USB driver stack for PC connectivity management applications that supports advanced 3G/4G protocols, auto-install procedures and others.

The solution also features BTware a fully-featured Bluetooth protocol stack, with support for all mobile class profiles and services. The ZeroDriver offers seamless connectivity between a USB mobile broadband modem and any laptop or PC. This ensures driverless connectivity, at very high USB connection speeds.

In a release Ophir Herbst, connectivity software general manager at Jungo said, “Jungo has established itself as a leading provider of short range connectivity software in the mobile market, with tier-1 OEMs and chipset makers relying on the Jungo connectivity software in their mobile handsets and datacards designs.”

Also Jungo’s comprehensive software product portfolio will provide for all customer needs such as high connectivity needs at lower development costs and at minimal production time, Herbst noted.
