Audio conferencing plays a significant role in today's business world for its ability to bring together participants to collaborate, discuss plans, and make decisions without needing to travel or have a face-to-face meeting.

But for today's increasingly on the go worker, not just needing to join into calls but needing to also lead calls while on the go, Ring2 Conferencing offers the ability to have remote control of calls from a mobile device.

With Ring2's service the call leader can easily click to join the conference from the phone of their choice.

This makes it possible for users to have remote control their conference calls from their handsets for enhanced visibility, security and control.

Today, the company announced they are extending their service to now also offer support for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 devices so users can also turn their handset into a remote controller for their conference sessions.

Advanced capabilities offered via the remote controller service include the ability to see real-time participants leaving or joining the call, verify callers, mute calls and record calls as needed.

"Audio-conferencing has become a $5 billion per annum everyday business activity, and Ring2 is focused on solving problems that have grown up with the industry. The company has ported its remote control capabilities onto mobile devices because so many conference calls are made away from the desk," a company news release noted.

Alex Breen, vice president of product management at Ring2 commented, "The mobile remote control we offer is unique in the industry and gets straight to the heart of everyday problems that frustrate frequent conference callers."
