TalkSwitch Intros Hybrid Phone for Very Small Business Segment
 TMCnet Contributing Editor
The TalkSwitch ( News - Alert) 240vs, a system designed to capture the largest segment of North American industry – the very small business – has been released from TalkSwitch. The designer and manufacturer of innovative telephone systems for small and multi-location businesses made the announcement today.
The 240vs has the capacity for 2 CO lines and 4 local extensions and is positioned as an important development for all existing and potential TalkSwitch customers. The smallest businesses get a hybrid system that provides them with the ability to configure local extensions as either analog or IP , in addition to the full networking and upgrade capabilities that were previously only available on larger systems. Businesses that are current TalkSwitch system users gain even more options for expanding their system capacity.
The market opportunity for the 240vs is considered enormous as the very small business segment has been underserved by the traditional telephone system providers. What’s more, many of the new vendors in the market lack a true understanding of the current needs of the small business.
TalkSwitch originated in 1990 specifically to address that market and has since built a sales channel and significant customer base by providing systems perfectly tailored for use by those companies. TalkSwitch expects that the 240vs will further cement the company’s reputation as the top vendor for small business telephone systems.
“The 240vs provides a new level of flexibility for all of our customers,” said Jan Scheeren, President and CEO, TalkSwitch, in a statement. “No other system of this size offers more features and more call handling options for the price. Best of all, it’s an all-in-one system with no hidden costs. Now every business can have a professional telephone system that is very owner-friendly in terms of maintenance and configuration, and that provides great expansion and networking options.”
The 240vs is part of the TalkSwitch family of fully hybrid telephone systems that includes the 244vs, 280vs, 284vs, 480vs and 484vs systems. As true hybrids, the VS line goes beyond just working with VoIP and traditional networks to letting users configure every local extension they want, allowing for a truly customized solution.
As part of the VS product line, the 240vs is maximized when used with the latest TalkSwitch software applications including the Attendant Console. The solution also offers the ability to expand with a block of 8 additional IP Extensions added to each 240vs if needed.
TalkSwitch has done well to recognize the opportunity available in the very small business segment of the market as it is rapidly growing and these businesses often have the same communication demands as that of their larger competitors, yet without the larger capital resources. TalkSwitch is not only providing these businesses with a solution that will meet their needs, the company is also helping to secure its place in the market over the long term.
The 240vs is available through authorized TalkSwitch resellers, or directly from www.talkswitch.com and is priced at $695USD. Full details and specifications for all TalkSwitch products are available by visiting www.talkswitch.com/products
