Thanks to the internet and the capabilities of the virtual world, each day it is becoming easier to see and communicate with family and friends at a distance, collaborate with business partners without having to travel and connect to places across the world without ever physically leaving your home.

Now a new internet service and software, available for download and subscritiption by late March 2007 from eJamming named AUDiiO, will make it possible to utilize the virtual world so that musicians of any skill level and can collaborate on music.

Using the service and software, Musicians both acoustic and electronic can collaborate in real-time with other artists from across the world and make music without needing to be in the same studio.

The collaborative effort is made possible via a real-time, virtual practice and recording studio that gives musicians the ability to, write, record, rehearse, learn and play music together, over the internet.

For the new service, the company furthered the idea behind their eJamming Studio 1.6, there MIDI-only offering to now allow for easy online collaboration capabilities.

Using their internet connection, a microphone and an audio interface device, users are able to hold jam sessions with other artists and collaborate on projects void of traveling, and studio fees as well as have the ability to meet other musicians otherwise, unreachable to create music with.

Features of eJamming AUDiiO include, CD-quality recording, profiles of other musicians that are searchable to discover musician with similarities, instant messaging "JamVite" to allow musicians to invite others to jam sessions and a calendaring tool for scheduling online jam sessions.

Chris Shipley, executive producer, DEMO, the invite-only Conference where AUDiiO was announced, commented in a statement to the press, "The internet has opened many doors for music and the music industry in recent years, truly leveling the playing felid for sharing and learning about new music. eJmming is breaking down even more barriers by bringing live, real-time, synchronized musical collaboration online, allowing musicians to play together and time, right from home or any wireless hotspot, indoors or out."

Especially important to musicians utilizing this to record and make music is good quality streaming, free of delays. To prevent quality or sound interferences, eJamming uses, "proprietary codecs and data-thinning schemes in tandem with eJammings patented Internet delay management algorithms," a news release noted.
