Polycom Arena Ecosystem Program Creating New Applications For Real-Time Video, Voice And Content

Unified collaborative communications solutions Polycom ( News - Alert) today announced growing support for its ecosystem program enabling software application providers, hardware device manufacturers, and conferencing solution providers to integrate their products with the industry's leading unified collaboration platform to create new applications for customers in a variety of industries.
The program, Polycom ARENA, includes 20 partners that offer standards-based, integrated solutions for key collaboration growth markets including education, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, telejustice and public safety, and growing technology sectors including mobile communications and video streaming  , according to Mark Roberts ( News - Alert), vice president of the Polycom ARENA program.
"Part of the Polycom VC2 vision for moving customers to the next generation of integrated, high-quality visual communications solutions, the Polycom ARENA program is about expanding the possibilities for real-time communication and collaboration and driving new applications that address specific customer needs," said Roberts. "Within a year, Polycom ARENA partners have brought more than twenty new solutions to market.
The four new ARENA announced today at INFOCOMM in Las Vegas are: Anagran, Hitachi Cable Networks, PowerDsine, and Vantage Point Products. They now join existing Polycom ARENA partners AMD Telemedicine, Audisoft, Colubris ( News - Alert) Networks, GlobalMedia Group, IP  Access International, Meru Networks ( News - Alert), myVRM, One Touch Systems, Revolabs, RHUB, Simtrol, VBrick Systems, Video-Miles, ViewCast, VR Meetings, and ZipDX, according to the company.
“Many of these are industry-first solutions addressing previously unmet needs. We are excited about the momentum of this program and are pleased to welcome our newest partners," said Roberts.
Polycom ARENA partners Global Media Group and MyVRM will demonstrate their integrated solutions within the Polycom booth (no. N6019) at the Infocomm Conference and Expo June 18-20, 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
