Xorcom Introduces Complete Concierge at ITEXPO

Xorcom is introducing Complete Concierge, a communications solution comprised of Xorcom’s Asterisk-based PBX (News - Alert) and an integrated Property Management System (PMS) interface certified by PMS developer Micros Fidelio, at this week’s ITEXPO West 2010 conference happening in Los Angeles.

The Complete Concierge allows businesses in the hospitality sector – hotels, motels, resorts, and spas – to benefit from open source telephony while utilizing PMS software in one bundled solution.

Xorcom is a privately-held manufacturer of business telephony interfaces and appliances based on Asterisk (News - Alert) open source software.

In an effort to provide hotel owners with one- stop shopping, Xorcom US has teamed up with two companies in the hospitality market: Polycom (News - Alert) and Integrity Leasing & Financing.

Complete Concierge by Xorcom is a cost-effective, new alternative to traditional hotel and motel telephony systems. It leverages existing hotel infrastructure, such as cabling and analog phone sets, and has its own built-in call accounting software package with programmable rate tables. For properties that are already using PMS, the Complete Concierge integrates with the leading PMS packages, such as Micros Fidelio Opera (which certified the Complete Concierge interface as interoperable with their PMS in July 2010), Protel, Amadeus, Optima, Brilliant (News - Alert) and Newhotel.

For smaller properties that cannot justify the investment in a PMS package, Complete Concierge provides its own built-in PMS communications functionality as well. It also supports SIP phones.

Polycom IP Desktop and Wireless Solutions for Hospitality is available to support the day-to-day communication activities at a property.

Polycom’s Wireless Telephone Systems allow hotel and casino staff to have immediate access to one another from anywhere within the property, enabling them to provide better service, faster response times and improved productivity, the company said, adding that it results in improved guest satisfaction and business efficiency.

Integrity Leasing & Financing has also teamed up with Xorcom US and offers a customized a 12 month rent-to-own program for any new Xorcom Complete Concierge system purchased in the United States.

Integrity offers a 36-, 48- or 60-month lease. This allows properties to implement the Xorcom Complete Concierge solution as a monthly operating expenditure, rather than an up-front capital investment.
