FaxBack Enables Fax Machine Integration With Document Management Systems

By Jessica Kostek, TMCnet Channel Editor

Straight from the ITEXPO at the Miami Beach Conference Center in Miami, Florida FaxBack is showcasing its Fax Machine Integration Server, an easy-to-install plug-in that turns fax machines into clients of the NET (News - Alert) SatisFAXtion VoIP fax server. Directly linking fax machines to the fax server enables businesses to track & archive fax images, and integrate fax into document workflows - which enhances productivity and facilitates regulatory compliance.

“Four-out-of-five people prefer using fax machines over scanners to send fax documents, because it’s simpler and more streamlined than scanning, importing and emailing documents,” said Brian Keep (News - Alert), Director of Marketing for FaxBack.

“Furthermore, fax machines are often forgotten in the unified communications mix, because documents with signatures or handwritten notes are almost always sent using fax machines,” he continued.

FaxBack (News - Alert) is a high-density VoIP fax for Enterprise, SMB and Carrier fax solutions provider. For small and medium sized businesses, fax machines can be connected to the network via an ATA (Analog Terminal Adaptor), where the Fax Machine Integration Server software listens for fax traffic and immediately routes it to the NET SatisFAXtion Fax Server.

For Enterprise customers with 4-24 fax machines, the Fax Machine Integration Server is a turnkey solution when embedded with AudioCodes’ (News - Alert) Mediant 1000 VoIP gateway, which eliminates the need to deploy an ATA device at every fax machine, company officials said in a statement.

The solution is ever set-up for offices that have fax machines off location. Fax Machine Integration Server reduces deployment complexity, management overhead, and redundant hardware costs by linking remote fax machines to a centralized fax server solution. With a five-to-one bandwidth reduction over SIP T.38, the Fax Machine Integration Server prevents network bog-down during heavy fax usage.

“Nearly every business uses fax machines to transmit mission critical documents, and the ability to integrate and archive fax images with the VoIP fax server is always one of the first requests we get from customers and prospects,” adds Brian Keep.

Keep continued, “The Fax Machine Integration Server solves the challenge of unmanaged analog fax machines, it ensures reliability that is equal to analog phone (PSTN/TDM) lines, and it lets businesses keep their existing fax machines by bringing them into the VoIP realm.”

FaxBack is a Gold Sponsor at this year’s ITEXPO (News - Alert). Go say hello, they’re at booth number 532.
