VoIP: Voice Recording Provides Evidence

By Michelle Robart, TMCnet Editor

Unified Communications (News - Alert) specialist ANDTEK has announced its new voice recording solution, the AND Phone Recorder, which is now better equipped for complex and global corporate networks.

A helpful feature added to the solution is able to duplicate recorded conversation to the standard switches, and then send them directly to the recorder server from any IP telephone. This results in significantly reducing the configuration work normally required by the administrator.

AND Phone Recorder also allows users to record IP-based telephone conversations (VoIP). A signature feature encrypts and protects the recorded conversations from manipulation and they can be verified as originals, or used as evidence in court, for instance when threatening calls have been made.

Thanks to this innovative recording method, large corporations operating global sites can now implement voice recording functions into complex corporate networks in a location-independent manner. Any IP phone conversation can now be recorded by a simple touch of a button.

Even if the employee does not activate the recording function until midway through the conversation, the system still works flawlessly. For example, this feature makes it possible to piece together the exact word-for-word conversation that took place during emergency calls.

The ability to verify a telephone conversation is crucial for companies who have to record telephone conversations because of legal requirements (for instance in futures trading).

Also, when disputes or misunderstandings have to be settled, the ideal proof is a recorded telephone conversation that is protected against manipulations of any kind. It provides the evidence needed to prove the accurateness of a statement.

In addition to voice recording, the AND Phone Recorder provides a digital dictation device, which is integrated into the IP phone. It allows users to record voice messages quickly on the IP telephone. The audio recording clear and is easy to hear with premium sound quality and no additional sound medium needed.
