TouchType Inc. has announced the availability of two new intuitive Android (News - Alert) keyboard apps, SwiftKeyX for smartphones and SwiftKey Tablet X, following the success of the company's original Android keyboard app SwiftKey.

Key highlights for the both smartphone and tablet apps include a fluency 2.0 language inference engine which is an artificial intelligence-driven text entry system designed to predict what the user is going to type next simply by observing the users texting pattern. A Cloud Learning personalization service studies the user's message history to offer personalized prediction and correction experience while Integration of Touch Interaction Modeling has been developed to provide word accuracy and predictions.

The SwiftKey Tablet X also includes the CTIA (News - Alert) Emerging Technology award-winning split key layout for thumb typing on the larger touchscreen tablet form factor.

While a number of new features have been added to both the smartphone and tablet applications, some of the key advancements include keyboard themes and new customizations for both apps and multiple (20) language selection options. Users have also been provided with greater language flexibility as a user can type in three languages without worrying about making mistakes as an auto-correction feature has also been included. The apps have additionally been enhanced with improved settings and installer user interface.

SwiftKey X is capable of supporting Android 2.X smartphones and is available for $3.99. SwiftKey Tablet X has been designed to support Android 2.X/3.X tablets and has been priced at $4.99. Both the SwiftKey X and the SwiftKey Tablet X apps have been made available on the Android Market and Amazon Appstore.
