Evermedia Biometrics Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the
Evermedia Group, Inc., has signed a teaming agreement with
Biometric Associates, LP (BAL) to pursue several upcoming contracting opportunities, including work related to the development of Match on Card (MOC) technology.
According to a release, Biometric Associates, LP, as a teaming partner, will accompany the active joint venture between Evermedia Biometrics and Nations ID, contributing fingerprint identity applications as well as its industry knowledge to MOC development and other federal biometric initiatives.
"BAL brings a wealth of experience and a talented management team to the alliance," said Jonathan Sym, CEO of Evermedia Biometrics, in the release.
Sym said that with their successful track record in fingerprint technology, expertise in federal contracting and standardization, BAL's participation expands available opportunities and reinforces the company’s position.
"BAL knows this industry, and BAL knows that now is the time to prepare multimodal biometric applications like MOC for DoD and similar entities," he added.
The agreement, Evermedia Group officials said forms a strategic alliance between the three companies and sets forth performance guidelines for all future joint contracting.
Officials said that currently, teaming partners have answered bid requests which, if awarded, would exceed several million dollars in services.
All bids the team has thus submitted are to provide services under federal contracts. While the team anticipates forthcoming contracting opportunities from outside the public sector, the bid requests mentioned above only represent a small fraction of government services within the teaming partners' calculated focus.
Officials said that over the next five years, this teaming agreement, in addition to the agreement with System Technology Solutions, Inc., postures the company to answer upwards of $100 million in federal bid requests.
