TELES Presents Complete Package For High-Speed Internet Communications

Q.SyS Releases New Group PhoneWare Versions
Q.SyS, Inc., has announced the release of PhoneWare 2.6 for the Panasonic KX-TD digital telephone system, and PhoneWare 2.5 for the Mitel SX-200 and 2000 telephone systems. CycloVision Shipping 360-Degree Live Web Video System
CycloVision Technologies announced the launch of the ParaCamera S-2i System, which captures a complete 360-degree video stream and transmits it over the Web or intranets in real-time, without distortion. By logging onto a Web site featuring a ParaCamera, a viewer has complete interactive control over their video window. Each viewer can navigate independently by panning, tilting, and zooming the ParaCamera with their mouse. The ParaCamera S-2i WebCam uses an optical system to capture a stream of video frames. The camera is connected to a PC running the CycloVision ParaServer software, which decodes the stream and transmits it over a network. Aplio Enters U.S. Market With Stand-Alone Internet Telephone
Aplio, S.A., has entered the U.S. market with its first product, a stand-alone Internet telephone that operates independently of a PC. Aimed at individuals and SOHOs who frequently place long-distance and international calls, the Aplio/Phone connects to a traditional phone like an answering machine. Users make a regular phone call and then press a single button for activation. The Aplio/Phone transparently converts the callers to the Internet, usually within 45 seconds. Lucent’s elemedia Bridges Gap For Audio Conference Users
Lucent Technologies’ elemedia business venture unveiled new products that enable businesses to raise the quality and cut the cost of audio conferencing. The elemedia CX1000S and CX2000S software products allow hundreds of participants to collaborate simultaneously, whether they are using POTS, corporate networks, Internet telephony gateways, or conferencing software applications such as Microsoft NetMeeting. RADVision Licenses Stand-Alone H.323 Gatekeeper Software Package
RADVision, Inc., announced the availability of its GK-323 GateKeeper, a stand-alone H.323 standards-based software application for IP telephony and multimedia conferencing product for developers and solution providers. RADVision’s GK-323 GateKeeper is available in source code and object code for multiple operating systems. It can be licensed for a variety of "flavors" of Windows and Unix, and for VxWorks and pSOS real-time operating systems. The GateKeeper can reside in any H.323-compliant gateway, MCU, terminal, or run as a server application. It can be configured and controlled remotely using http or SNMP. PowerDsine Offers DC-to-AC Ringing Generator Modules
PowerDsine, Inc., is offering a new high-density DC-to-AC, 30 Watt, 50 REN telephone ringing generator module, which incorporates output frequency selectivity of 17, 20, 25, and 50 Hz with a clean sine wave output that eliminates the need for external filters. I-Bus Intros Dual Pentium II-Based Passive Backplane CPU Board
I-Bus introduced Nautilus, a dual Pentium II-based passive backplane CPU board which provides both PCI and ISA expansion interfaces. Nautilus is based on the standards established by PICMG. Nortel, Rockwell Semiconductor Work For Mass High-Speed Internet Access
Nortel (Northern Telecom) and Rockwell Semiconductor Systems have announced an agreement to enable high-speed Internet access to the mass market. The Nortel/Rockwell solution is 17 times faster than the fastest analog modem, and is easy to deploy over the telephone network. Under the agreement, they will work to enable modems using Rockwell’s Consumer Digital Subscriber Line (CDSL) chip set to interwork with Nortel’s 1-Meg Modem network equipment. CDSL can be implemented more cost-effectively than industry-standard Discrete Multitude (DMT) ADSL because it operates at a lower, 1 MBPS data rate which is ideal for Web browsing and remote computing. Trenton Technology Intros Pentium II Single Board Computer
Trenton Technology introduced its Pentium II CPU TR-P2LX processor board. The new SBC offers a number of onboard features, including video, Ethernet, and SCSI. FaxSav Introduces Broadcast List Manager Software
FaxSav announced its Broadcast List Manager software, which enables customers to manage their fax broad-cast database directly from their PC. Samsung Telecom Upgrades Digital Communications System Software
Samsung Telecommunications America’s Business Communications Division announced the launch of its release 3.3 software for its DCS (Digital Communications System). The new software provides ANI (Automatic Number Identification) on E&M tie lines and on a digital T1 trunk. The DCS will treat ANI information similarly to caller ID information received over analog trunks. Release 3.3 also supports TSAPI, Novell’s standard for providing third-party call control. Additional enhancements to the software include Forward DND, which is a combination of call forwarding and "do not disturb" features. Aristacom’s CallEnabler- 400 Version 1.0 Brings CTI To The AS/400
Aristacom International, Inc., announced the availability of Version 1.0 of CallEnabler-400, an intelligent call management solution for the IBM AS/400. Interstar Technologies Adds To Their Suite Of Fax Server Solutions
Interstar Technologies has released Lightning FAX 5. Lightning FAX 5, a client/server fax solution, is designed for both Windows NT and AIX Unix. Clients are available for Windows 95, Windows NT, and Java. Least-cost routing management will automatically route faxes to the fax driver, WAN, Internet, intranet, or extranet. Each fax server can manage 15 fax resources (drivers) and each resource contains 48 configurable fax channels for a total of 720 fax channels per server. Apple Licenses New Technologies To Enhance QuickTime 3.0
