Now available in more than 250,000 public hotspots and tens of millions of homes, businesses and campuses around the globe, WiFi has come a long way since its inception a decade ago. With the technology firmly in place and relied upon the world over, security issues have moved to the forefront. For that reason, TMC will be presenting the webinar “The Sky Is the Limit: Maximize Your WiFi ( News - Alert) Performance” on Wednesday, August 22 at 12 p.m. EST.
Included in the webinar will be speakers such as: Wesley Burgman, network designer for Boeing; David Mackie, head of Motion Computing’s wireless service group; Greg Barone, VP of sales for Cognio; and Erik Linask, associate editor for TMC ( News - Alert). These speakers will be available for questions, and will also be providing tips designed to help users get the most out of their WiFi.
Due to the vulnerability of many WiFi networks, rogue APs and jammers have been able to exploit the services using devices which masquerade as legitimate WiFi devices, and even compete for the same airspace.
