Cheetah Wireless Technologies (CWTI) and BelAir Networks have launched a broadband mesh network delivering high speed Wi-Fi
access along the Las Vegas Strip, including inside and outside of the country’s largest hotels and casinos.
Both the companies claim that an estimated 40 million visitors and business travelers per year can now take advantage of Cheetah Wireless’s high speed Internet service. To cover the massive hotels, resorts and casinos located in Las Vegas, some reaching over 30 floors, CWTI uses BelAir Networks industry-leading outdoor-in broadband wireless network solution. Upon completion the wireless network will cover almost the entire Strip.
“Deploying a comprehensive broadband wireless network to serve hotels along the Strip was a challenge that required a high performance, highly scalable solution,” said Mitchell Gonzalez, President and Founder of Cheetah Wireless Technologies in a statement to the press. “We turned to BelAir Networks for their proven, industry-leading performance, carrier-class capacity and their unique outdoor-in solution, ideally suited for this opportunity.”
Las Vegas is one of the country’s most popular travel destinations and hosts key technology events including the Consumer Electronics Show (CES (

To address the huge transient market along the Strip with high performance broadband access both inside and outside of the buildings, CWTI deployed BelAir200 and BelAir100 Wireless Multi-service Nodes, from BelAir Networks patented, award-winning product portfolio.
“The Las Vegas network addresses a combination of municipal public access and hospitality industry communications requirements – a perfect fit for BelAir Networks proven, cost-effective wireless broadband mesh technology,” said Jim Freeze, SVP of Marketing and Alliances, BelAir Networks. “BelAir Networks is the choice of leading cities worldwide so we’re pleased that Cheetah Wireless has deployed our industry-leading, carrier-grade technology to address this unique opportunity.”
