Provider of mobile entertainment, customization and communication, kajeet, has launched a new pay-as-you-go cell phone and wireless service, created from a child's point of view.
With kajeet, 'tweens' can tailor their mobile experience in accordance to their world, while also offering their parents comfort with the role mobile technology plays in their lives.
Daniel Neal, kajeet Founder and CEO points out that around four million new kids are becoming cell phone users each year. kajeet was thus created with a simple mission in mind: super-serve kids with a wireless service designed specifically for them.
“kajeet brings together the world of communication, information and entertainment that kids want in the palms of their hands while alleviating the worries that parents might have about getting their kids cell phones,” said Neal in a statement to the press.
There are no long-term contracts for kajeet customers. Customers don’t have to pay any
activation fees, termination fees, hidden charges or fees, roaming or extra long distance charges. Offering a full array of voice, text, picture, and instant messaging services kajeet allows on-the-go kids to stay connected to family and friends -- and to communicate in their own style. Kids can also personalize and customize their service with the ringtones and wallpapers of their choice.
kajeet also offers the games and content from partners like Nickelodeon,
Cellmania, Glu Mobile , Gameloft, I-play, Airborne Entertainment, and key applications, such as Google ( News - Alert) Maps for Mobile and AOL's AIM service.
The kajeet Configurator offers many ways for tweens and their families to tailor the service to meet their unique needs. By paying just 35 cents a day customers can enjoy unlimited use of the kajeet Configurator, free browsing of the kajeet Navigator (providing access to an array of kid-centric ringtones, wallpapers, and games - including free kajeet content), personalized voicemail, Google Maps for Mobile, and kid-friendly Customer Care.
kajeet also gets families great rates and pay-as-you-go value, enabling kids and parents to communicate however they like.
kajeet service and phones will be available at Limited Too stores in early April, and nationwide in more than 500 Best Buy stores by May 1. kajeet can also be purchased on the Web. Nationwide Sprint (News - Alert) PCS Network will provide the wireless network coverage for kajeet.
