InfoSonics Corporation, a fast growing distributor of wireless handsets serving Latin America and the United States, announced Wednesday that it will be distributing handsets for LG Electronics (

Alert) in the Caribbean and select countries in Latin America.
InfoSonics will be delivering its first shipments in the coming weeks and has already received approval, certification and purchase orders from carriers in the region.
According to Joseph Ram, president and chief executive officer of InfoSonics the addition of the LG handsets to their existing product line-up provides InfoSonics with a broader selection to offer their carrier customers.
Ram believes the LG products will enable them to increase their overall volume in the Caribbean region.
Howard Park, director of Mobile Communications for LG Electronics Latin America is pleased to be partnering with InfoSonics.
“We feel their top quality services and facilities combined with their investment in the region, understanding of the carriers and the overall knowledge of the market should create a successful partnership between the two companies,” said Park in a
press release.
One of the fastest growing providers of wireless handsets and accessories, InfoSonics sells OEM and proprietary handsets and accessories to network operators in Latin America and the United States.
InfoSonics also provides flexible and cost effective solutions including product design and development, product certification and homologation, product assembly packaging and logistics, marketing campaigns, warranty services, and end user support.
LG Electronics is a provider of consumer electronics and mobile communications. The company was in news earlier this month for announcing the appointment of Mr. Yong Nam as the new Vice Chairman and CEO of LG Electronics, effective January 1, 2007.
Overall top management changes at LG Electronics include appointments of two new business company CEOs, CFO, Head of Korea Sales & Marketing Operation and 30 other executives.
