TMC adds Mae Kowalke as Wireless/Mobility Blogger

TMCnet News

(Norwalk, CT – November 8, 2006) Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) today announced its newest blog, Wireless Mobility—an addition to the recently revamped WiFi Revolution Web site.

The blog is written by Mae Kowalke, an Associate Editor for TMCnet.com, Technology Marketing Corporation’s online news Web site that covers a broad range of technology and marketing-related industries including WiFi, VoIP, CRM, call center, IP communications, biometrics, alternative power, and information technology. Mae holds a B.A. in Communications from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, N.J., and previously worked for Cleveland Magazine in Ohio and The Burlington Free Press in Vermont.

“When it comes to cool, fun, and useful gadgets that offer endless hours of both frustration and productivity, I am a self-proclaimed geek,” says Kowalke. “This blog enables me to comment on anything and everything that has to do with wireless technology and working/playing with technology that enables mobility.”

Kowalke adds, “Just a few of the topics that I’ll be discussing include 802.11 and other wireless standards, BlackBerries, cell phones, fixed-mobile convergence, the IEEE, PDAs, and municipal WiFi.”

WiFi (News - Alert) networks are becoming increasingly popular for both business and private use. Public hotspots are available in more and more locations as hotels, book stores and cafes offer wireless as a perk to their patrons. TMC’s WiFi Revolution Web site highlights the latest news, feature stories, product reviews, forums and blogs about wireless technology—from the convergence of mobile and VoIP telephony to citywide hotspots.

“Mae has proven to be a valuable edition to our editorial staff and I am confident that in her new role as blogger for WiFi Revolution she will provide an entertaining and insightful perspective on the wireless space,” commented Greg Galitzine, Editorial Directorof TMC. “TMCnet is the leading communications and technology site in the world and WiFi Revolution adds value by providing an abundance of content, which has earned TMCnet the highest traffic in the business.”

TMCnet has been ranked among the top 2,200 most visited Web sites in the world by alexa.com, an amazon.com company that monitors Web traffic. In April 2006 alone, TMCnet.com was viewed by more than 1 million unique visitors monthly with 18 million page views.
