Alert), a provider of location-based and fleet Telematics services, has announced the appointment of SBTec S.A. as its exclusive Brazilian distributor in Brazil, with an initial delivery of 20,000 WT Locators.
The investment of SBTec in this venture includes a new head office and operations center in Belo Horizonte, a sales office in Sao Paulo, and sales and installation branches throughout the country.
WebTech Wireless said that this infrastructure, paired with their company’s WT Locators, and Quadrant fleet management software application, provides an end-to-end solution for customers in a variety of industries requiring vehicle asset management.
Officials said that this solution incorporates full mapping, messaging and dispatching abilities, enabling customers to track and manage their fleet's performance against operational and environmental guidelines.
In addition, SBTec and WebTech Wireless plan to continue pursuing opportunities in the Personal Automotive market, offering Brazilian automobile manufacturers assembly-line installation of WT Locators.
“The challenges that WebTech Wireless has witnessed in the Brazilian market over the past year are now well behind us,” said Neil Chan, senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing at WebTech Wireless.
He also said that the market has responded positively to this latest partnership and the company has already added a significant number of new Brazilian subscribers to the existing subscriber base.
Iltom Carvalho, director of sales at SBTec, said that the partnership with WebTech Wireless combines tremendous telematics and fleet management know-how with the company’s local knowledge of the Brazilian landscape.
“This solution is among the best in the world and we strongly believe it will take us to a position of market leadership in the very near future,” he added.
Earlier this month, WebTech Wireless announced an agreement with Automotive Resources International (ARI) to integrate its broad locator, vehicle diagnostics and Quadrant fleet management software application with the ARI Intellifleet System.
