Intelli-Check – Mobilisa has bagged a $1 million contract to further develop wireless buoys for the U.S. Navy, using its Wireless over Water (WOW) technology.

“We are pleased to announce this order with the U.S. Navy as it further establishes our WOW technology. This win not only proves that we take our research and development very seriously, but also reveals we have the necessary capabilities to make our R&D efforts into realities,” Dr. Nelson Ludlow, CEO of Intelli-Check – Mobilisa said.

“We are extremely excited that we can meet the security needs of the U.S. Navy while conducting environmental monitoring at the same time. This is a great opportunity to expand the applications for our Wireless over Water technology and we believe there is great potential in the wireless business unit as there are limitless applications.”

The company is currently developing environmental/security buoys for the use of port security and environmental monitoring of nation's waterways.

These buoys are being designed in a manner that enables them to be adapted to several different situations to monitor anything in, on, or above the water.

All data will be collected and transmitted between buoys, ships and shore operations utilizing Intelli-Check - Mobilisa's Wireless over Water Technology.

Intelli-Check – Mobilisa is a technology company engaged in developing and marketing wireless technology and identity systems for various applications including mobile and handheld wireless devices for the government, military and commercial markets.

Products include the Defense ID systems, an advanced ID card access control product that is currently protecting over 50 military and federal locations and ID-CHECK a technology that instantly reads, analyzes, and verifies encoded data in magnetic stripes and barcodes on government-issued IDs from approximately 60 jurisdictions in the U.S. and Canada to determine if the content and format are valid.
