Parrot has introduced a new 'global' 7-inch digital photo frame that accepts photos sent to it from a GSM cell phone via MMS - just like a text message - from virtually anywhere in the world.
The new PARROT DF7700 digital photo frame has an integrated SIM card with a dedicated call number (just like a cell phone) so that users can send photos across a room or around the world using the cell phone's Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) capability.
To successfully make use of the new capability, the cell phone sending the picture must support MMS whether it is a CDMA , GSM or 3G phone, and the photo frame must be located in an area which supports MMS over a quadband network.
The new PARROT DF7700 frame also features a USB connection and an SD card slot for more conventional methods of photo transfer.
