New Vehicle Tracking Solutions Franchise in Texas

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributing Editor

New York-based fleet management provider Vehicle Tracking Solutions (VTS) signed up its first franchisee—Mark Repella from Austin, Texas. His aim will be to develop the VTS brand in Austin and San Antonio. VTS is the only company in the AVL industry offering franchise opportunities.

Repella commented on the new opportunity saying, “After looking at many different business opportunities and franchise offerings, I decided to go with VTS. They have a great product and their commitment to their customers is second to none.”

Previously, Repella owned and operated two auto repair companies, making use of eleven years of business ownership experience and a strong background in sales and management.

VTS Chief Operations Officer Ed Teixeira stated, “When we implemented our franchise program several months ago, our objective was to use our successful corporate operation as a launching pad into new markets. This strategy will enable VTS to have a physical presence in key markets throughout the country.”

VTS was founded by John M. Cunningham Jr. approximately six years ago. He too expressed positive sentiments about the new franchise, saying, “I am very excited to welcome Mark to the VTS franchise network. With the fleet management industry offering such tremendous potential, I am confident that Mark will soon be operating a thriving franchise. His B2B sales experience is a great asset for Vehicle Tracking Solutions, and we are happy to welcome him onboard.”

VTS tracks approximately 10,000 vehicles 24 hours a day for clients in 32 states, operating offices in New York and New Hampshire. Recent studies of the fleet tracking industry show that a mere 10 percent of the 20 million business vehicles in the U.S. have fleet tracking systems. It is expected that these numbers will improve with industry sources reporting 17 million GPS fleet management subscribers, raising over $2.5 billion in revenue for the fleet tracking industry, by 2010. These results assure VTS franchisees of access to purportedly “the fastest growing market in the B2B industry.”

Repella continued, “After meeting with John and Ed, I know they are committed to my success as a franchisee. I look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with VTS.”

VTS franchisees are able to operate from a home based office or a business office, focusing on B2B marketing and sales. No royalty fees are levied upon VTS franchisees, and each sale earns recurring revenue.
