Jaipur to Be Wi-Fi by Next Year

Data Infosys (News - Alert) Limited, one of India's pioneer & leading IT Technology Company, is all set to transform Jaipur, state capital of desert state of Rajasthan into a Wi-Fi city.



 
The company as per a memorandum of understanding signed with Rajasthan government is planning to have hotspots in several parts of Jaipur under the Wi-Fi City project.
 
"In this direction first Wi-Fi spot has already been launched at Sindhi Camp Bus Stand and very soon almost all of tourist spots of Jaipur would be wi-fi enabled", Ajay Kumar Data (CEO) Data Infosys told TMC (News - Alert) in an interview
 
”We are hopeful of turning Jaipur a Wi-Fi city in next one year's time”, he added.
 
Established in 1999, an ISO-9001 company, Data Infosys Limited is a part of Data group with an annual turnover of over Rs 12 billion. Being among India's top seven Internet  service providers (ISP) with a strong hold over North India region DIL is serving a database of 250,000 internet subscribers of it.

"Besides being a ISP, In DIL we shelter the 24 x 7 customer care call center for various government and large corporate organizations efficiently like BSNL, Rajasthan Tourism, Jaipur electricity Distribution Company etc", Data said.
 
The CEO said that the company is executing the spot billing project for Jaipur electricity Distribution Company.
 
The project includes design, development and implementation of application software for computerized Spot bill generation.
 
"In some of the areas, the system has already been started while in remaining part we hope to introduce it soon", added.
 
Data said that he is hopeful of launching an online billing system for electricity consumers by June this year.
 
Talking about range of operations of the company in IT sector, Data said that it includes-Internet services, application services, project design and development, wireless solutions, software development and web solutions to name a few.
