Wavion and Netlink Technologies have announced the deployment of Wavion’s WS410 spatially adaptive APs to the Nigerian National Assembly complex and Senator’s offices in Abuja.
A unique and powerful digital beamforming technology is embedded in Wavion’s spatially adaptive APs. The technology provides extended range and penetration, and minimizes dead spots.
Requiring about one third fewer units than other outdoor APs, Wavion’s spatially adaptive APs can cover the same area, and provide a high quality network for all the variety of applications enabled by WiFi
.
“We are proud to be able to deliver wireless Internet access to the Nigerian National Assembly,” said Dumebi Kachikwu, CEO of Netlink Technologies in a statement.
Kachikwu noted that Wavion’s technology and the Netlink network is enabling them to bring the benefits of wireless broadband access to the National Assembly complex and provide internet access to all its offices and meeting rooms.
Wavion’s spatially adaptive AP is based on six radio transceivers and six antennas, and employs advanced digital beamforming technology. Wavion’s technology is based on a custom-designed ASIC optimized for the outdoor environment, and significantly improves the link gain and quality to 802.11 standards-based WiFi (

“We’re honored to help Netlink Technologies transform the Nigerian National Assembly to a Wi-Fi
zone with our powerful and unique digital beamforming technology,” said Dr. Mati Wax, Wavion’s Founder and CTO.
Dr. Wax said that their superior performance in terms of range, throughput and indoor penetration has been crucial to the success of this deployment.
Wavion is transforming the metro and rural WiFi markets with a new category of spatially adaptive access points.
Netlink Technologies is a pioneer in delivering wireless broadband data services in Nigeria.
