RADCOM has extended the capability of its Omni-Q monitoring solution to include softswitch monitoring.
As a single platform, vendor and technology-neutral monitoring solution Omni-Q helps operators improve service quality, cut costs, and increase revenue.
Eyal Harari, RADCOM's VP, Products and Marketing, pointed out that Omni-Q already provides operators with full end-to-end monitoring of their Core network. Thanks to this extension, they can extend the same solution to include monitoring of the Softswitching domain, including full visibility into subscriber transactions and a full range of Softswitching analysis with BICC, Megaco, ISUP and MAP support, with correlation of VoIP, SS7 and Sigtran.
RADCOM explains that Softswitching solutions are being deployed to deliver over-IP connectivity between service providers and even between different large sites within the same operator's network. This service is based on IP, is highly sensitive and its load is enormous.
Cellular operators' revenue is dependent on the ability to provide smooth inter- and intra-connectivity. These operators will now be able to extend their GSM , UMTS or CDMA network view to assure quality of service in the Softswitch domains.
RADCOM develops, manufactures, markets and supports innovative network test and service monitoring solutions for communications service providers and equipment vendors. The Company was recently in news for extending the capability of its Omni-Q monitoring solution for cellular networks to the monitoring of Mobile TV, for both CDMA and UMTS standards.
