Devicescape Launches Connect Service for Seamless Connections of Wi-Fi

California based Devicescape Software launched its Connect Service, which is an auto-connect solution for operators. It seamlessly and automatically connects to subscribers' Wi-Fi devices to any operator and also roaming partner’s Wi-Fi networks. 



 
With Devicescape Connect Service operators can give seamless integration of cellular and Wi-Fi services to their subscribers increase the number of users and number of sessions. It also brings new type of devices onto their networks and also reduces support costs.
   
Devicescape Connect Service helps in simplifying a multi-step challenging consumer process, because network can be accessed seamlessly. With this, more consumers will be able to use Wi-Fi for mobile access in more number of sessions. This will give good revenue potential for operators and also to their roaming partners.   
 
Devicescape Connect Service allows operators to balance their traffic between expensive and overburdened cellular networks onto fast and inexpensive Wi-Fi, in cases when connections are unattended by the consumer.
 
Dave Fraser, CEO of Devicescape, said in a statement, "Finally there is a unified way to connect any device to any network. By offering a simple one-step solution to Wi-Fi integration, Devicescape enables consumers to more readily enjoy their favorite mobile internet applications like email, media, music and maps. For operators, Devicescape increases the value of their Wi-Fi asset."
 
Devicescape Connect Service is easy to deploy. By installing Devicescape and pre-configuring each device with a unique ID, automated access can be set up for users. The operator can customize networks access, access to roaming partners, for each device based on device type, subscription plan or other criteria. 
 
Once the setup is completed, devices can instantly access the appointed coverage which will give good service experience for the subscriber.
 
A software development kit is available for full integration of Devicescape, into handsets and other devices.
 
Nokia (News - Alert) makes Devicescape available on Nokia N95 and in Nokia Tableteer Folder for Nokia Internet Tablet owners, via the Nokia Download application. Distributable clients are also available today for Nokia devices, Apple iPhone (News - Alert) and iPod touch, Mac OSX, Windows XP and Vista laptops and Windows Mobile Smartphones.
 
Companies such as Intel (News - Alert), Motorola, Nokia and RIM use Devicescape to give their devices simple and secure access to home, enterprise and public Wi-Fi networks. It also works with service providers to deliver easy Wi-Fi access to their subscribers, increase revenues and lower support costs.
