Redline Communications ( News - Alert) Group Inc. announced that Comunicacion y Telefonia Rural S.A. (CTR), a rural telecommunications company in Chile has selected Redline’s RedCONNEX(TM) AN-50e to enable it to expand its wireless broadband network.
CTR offers broadband services to customers in Chile including cable, satellite and wireless access.
Redline specializes in standards-based WiMAX access and broadband wireless infrastructure products. Deploying its products would help the Chilean company CTR; to cover five cities in the southern part of the country thereby increasing its subscriber base by 30% said Redline in a press release.
Redline provides support for several applications including mobile backhaul , video surveillance, storage and business continuity, premium Internet access besides other voice, video and data services.
The RedCONNEX AN-50e would allow CTR to provide long-range, high-capacity wireless backhaul for the company’s existing satellite and wireless access infrastructure, hence enhancing the backbone network of CTR. CTR would be able to serve more customers with quality of service with the enhanced National telecommunication infrastructure.

I-Systems S.A. of Santiago de Chile undertook the task of planning and installing of the RedCONNEX(TM) AN-50e network. I-Systems is a certified partner of Redline and is also a systems integrator. The backhaul deployment would offer both internet and telephone services to residential customers as well as businesses covering distances of 500 km in some locations.
