MLL Telecom, a building and operating wireless broadband networks specialist has been formally approved as an official supplier by OGCbuying.solutions. The approval reflects MLL’s strength and experience in the wireless industry and will enable the company to access the public sector market.
Awarded by OGCbuying.solutions, an executive agency of OGC in the Treasury, the new Telecom Networks framework agreement starts this week. The agreement will enable MLL to supply equipment, managed services and consultation to organisations throughout the public sector including hospitals, schools and local and central government, under pre-agreed terms and conditions.
Rick Hudson, CEO of MLL Telecom, said in a
statement that wireless networks are attractive to organisations which need to build cost-effective, scalable high-capacity broadband networks quickly.
During 2007 MLL Telecom experienced an increasing interest in their capabilities from the public sector. Hudson emphasized that this newly awarded OGCbuying.solutions certification will enable them to address this increased demand directly.
MLL has reportedly been approved to supply services in three lots: Point to point circuits, Infrastructure and connectivity and Wireless data infrastructure. The company also builds wireless networks for enterprises in both rural and urban areas that are looking for higher bandwidth and greater reliability from their networks, as well as the ability to expand as multi-media applications become the norm.
OGCbuying.solutions is the trading arm of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), which is itself an office of HM Treasury.
Established in 1992, MLL Telecom is one of the largest independent provider of converged wireless solutions, delivering carrier-grade connectivity to locations other network providers cannot economically reach.
