AT4 wireless WiMAX Forum Accredited Lead Lab is all set to leverage Agilent’s N6430A WiMAX ( News - Alert) Protocol Conformance Test (PCT) and Development Solution. The solution is based on the Agilent E6651A Mobile WiMAX test set for PCT testing of WiMAX devices.
“We are delighted that AT4 wireless will be using the Agilent ( News - Alert) N6430A as a PCT solution for their lead lab in Spain,” said Niels Fach, vice president and general manager of Agilent's Mobile Broadband Division. “This demonstrates our strength in WiMAX protocol conformance testing, which is part of Agilent s E6651A portfolio of solutions across the entire R&D lifecycle.”
Agilent’s N6430A PCT solution offers a comprehensive suite of test solutions for 802.16-2004/Cor2 D3 Mobile WiMAX PCT and development testing with a scripting interface to a fully functional radio bearer. The Agilent E6651A portfolio of solutions also supports many R&D testing needs in addition to PCT, including base-station emulation, RF parametric measurements, and Radiated Performance Testing (RPT).
“PCT is a critical part of the WiMAX Forum certification testing process,” said Fernando E. Hardasmal, deputy general manager, AT4 wireless. “AT4 wireless has been working hard with our partners to provide the WiMAX industry with the test facilities and test systems they need. We are thrilled to be starting Mobile WiMAX certification testing with Agilent equipment at our lead lab in Malaga.”
Agilent’s test system is expected to perfectly complement AT4 wireless labs existing capabilities for WiMAX certification.
“The N6430A PCT system builds on the E6651A platform strengths developed with our partner Innowireless,” said C. J. Meurell, European operations general manager for Agilent’s Mobile Broadband Division’s WiMAX portfolio. “We have worked hard to integrate and evaluate a very large number of WiMAX PCT test cases. We are very pleased that our system will be used to ensure that WiMAX products conform to WiMAX standards as they hit the market.”
