Telstra, a telecommunications provider in Australia, has teamed up with 2Wire, a provider of broadband service delivery platforms, to provide a Single Port ADSL Gateway (News - Alert) and a 4-Port Home Wi-Fi Gateway to Telstra customers.

 

Telstra’s product offers superior voice quality and fast data connection. The Wired 1-Port Gateway includes a single Ethernet LAN entry point while the 4-Port Home Wi-Fi Gateway has four Ethernet LAN ports and allows multiple users to share the broadband connection from anywhere in the home.

 

"We are committed to providing our customers the newest and most innovative services, maximizing the use of our networks. Both the Wired 1-Port Gateway and the 4-Port Home Wi-Fi Gateway are easy to install and use, demystifying home networking and placing it in reach of all customers, regardless of their technical knowledge," said Dan Burns, Executive Managing Director, Telstra Network and Technology.

 

Based on customers’ requirements, they can either purchase the Wired 1-Port Gateway or the 4-Port Home Wi-Fi Gateway.

 

In addition to this, Telstra also offers integrated support through the 2Wire backend

Remote Management System, which allows telecom carriers to efficiently install and manage the configuration, maintenance, and support of home networks.
