Bharti Airtel Partners with Mformation Technologies

The Indian telecommunications company, Bharti Airtel has partnered with Mformation (News - Alert) Technologies Inc., a provider of mobile device management (MDM) technology, to enable new mobile data services and manage mobile devices across Airtel's growing customer base.



 
According to the partnership deal, Airtel will be using Mformation’s technology as the core platform for enabling the seamless delivery of new data services and managing the mobile devices of its more than 48 million mobile subscribers.
 
The partnership, Mformation officials informed will allow Airtel to use MFROMATION SERVICE MANAGER to configure, diagnose, update and manage advanced mobile devices through every phase of their lifecycle. The officials pointed out that Mformation’s platform will also be critical to the launch of new mobile data services and applications such as Instant Messaging and device browsers.
 
In addition, Airtel’s enterprise customers are expected to benefit from a hosted device management and security solution, which the officials said, gives each enterprise complete control over the mobile devices, applications and services used by their employees.
 
Jagbir Singh (News - Alert), CTO at Bharti Airtel, noted in a press release. “As the critical platform for controlling the mobile device, MFORMATION SERVICE MANAGER will be essential in helping us optimize the user experience and deliver seamless, intuitive services to both our business and consumer subscribers.”
 
Mark Edwards (News - Alert), CEO at Mformation, commented: “We are excited to be working with Bharti Airtel to help them deliver the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction while accelerating the delivery of new data services to their fast-growing customer base.”
 
Edwards also believed that MFORMATION SERVICE MANAGER will enable Bharti Airtel (News - Alert) to deliver advanced device management capabilities—from initial device configuration to diagnostics, maintenance, software management and data service rollout—to both their consumer and business customers.
