The Indian telecommunications company, Bharti Airtel has partnered with Mformation (

Alert) Technologies Inc., a provider of mobile device management (MDM) technology, to enable new mobile data services and manage mobile devices across Airtel's growing customer base.
According to the partnership deal, Airtel will be using Mformation’s technology as the core platform for enabling the seamless delivery of new data services and managing the mobile devices of its more than 48 million mobile subscribers.
The partnership, Mformation officials informed will allow Airtel to use MFROMATION SERVICE MANAGER to configure, diagnose, update and manage advanced mobile devices through every phase of their lifecycle. The officials pointed out that Mformation’s platform will also be critical to the launch of new mobile data services and applications such as Instant Messaging and device browsers.
In addition, Airtel’s enterprise customers are expected to benefit from a hosted device management and security solution, which the officials said, gives each enterprise complete control over the mobile devices, applications and services used by their employees.
