JDSU (News - Alert), offering broadband test and measurement solutions and optical products, has announced the release of the special edition of RoamerNet which helps operators to improve their services and retain their subscribers.

 

RoamerNet is a managed service based on the JDSU RCATS solution that allows service providers to monitor and review the performance of mobile services globally through their real time reporting.

 

The special edition of RoamerNet enables wireless operators to measure service performance, at multiple Olympic venues in China thereby encouraging more wireless subscribers to travel to the games in Beijing next summer.

 

JDSU has also introduced the "Mobile Service Assurance Kit," which offers data on best test and measurement practices for wireless service assurance.

 

"It is critical that mobile service providers take steps to ensure service quality everywhere their customers go," said Jerry Gentile, general manager of JDSU's Service Assurance Solutions division.

 

"RoamerNet gives operators the ability to gauge and assess service performance metrics that ultimately determine a wireless subscriber's quality of experience. Wireless service providers need to take action now in order to make sure their networks are ready for the games next summer."
