US-based Sky Detective, Inc, a global intelligence and security solution provider is opening offices in Shenzhen, China for manufacturing and market advantage in Asia-Pacific.

 

``Shenzhen is ideal for the new Sky Detective office as it's the plastics and electronics heartbeat of China,'' said CEO Jerry Thompson in a press statement. Thompson is a retired Deputy Sheriff and the inventor of Gang Tracker.

 

Sky Detective's specialized market expertise and the increased manufacturing capability and cost savings is enabling the company to be the only LBS (Location Based Service) Provider that has the total end-to-end solution to fill the void for customers worldwide.

``This is a huge step for Sky Detective in furthering our goal of becoming the true market leader in the worldwide LBS market,'' continued Thompson, ``This milestone puts Sky Detective far ahead of competition in penetrating the LBS market. We have seen major reductions in development time and have a keen eye on the China market.''

 

Between China and India there are 2.6 billion people and, according to ABI Research (News - Alert), by the end of 2011 there will be 157 million GPS-enabled LBS subscribers in the Asia-Pacific region. Sky Detective will continue to penetrate and lead the way in the LBS market space.

Sky Detective has begun the testing phase of its new highly advanced SD30 tracking device and was recently endorsed by the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS), one of the largest association of deputy sheriffs and district attorney investigators in the United States representing 8,000 sworn officers, as a provider of Omnilink GPS technology to reduce prison overcrowding and ease the financial burden on Los Angeles County.
