According to Kobo, a global eReading service, consumers can now buy the Kobo Wireless eReader from Future Shop's retail stores and online site.

Future Shop, a retailer and e-tailer of consumer electronics in Canada, will offer the Kobo eReader at just $149 and in three colors – Onyx, Pearlized Lilac and Metallic Silver. All eReaders come under the Future Shop Lower Price Guarantee; if a customer reveals that another retailer is offering the eReader at a lower price, Future Shop will immediately beat it by 10 per cents of the difference.

Kobo asserted its excitement over Future Shop making the Kobo Wireless eReader available to Canadian customers, who count on Future Shop's Product Experts when considering a technology purchase. Kobo is thrilled that users can now visit Future Shop to learn, purchase and discover the joy of eReading with Kobo. With the Kobo Wireless eReader, consumers can now shop on-the-go, anytime, anyplace, directly from their Kobo eReader with one touch of the "Shop" button.

The new Kobo Wireless eReader is integrated with WiFi (News - Alert) connectivity and features an improved processor for faster page turns, an improved screen with 16 levels of grayscale, and enables users to acquire ebooks from their respective local public libraries through Adobe Digital Editions. The eReader also supports books that are bought at other stores that are in EPUB format, free classics available at a number of online repositories, and native PDF files. The eReader also comes packed with an eInk screen that reads like print on paper and is easy on the eyes, and is light and compact enough to comfortably carry in a jacket pocket.
