High Performance, Flexible and Cost-Effective Microwave Radios Join CableFree's Wireless Broadband Product Portfolio

CableFree Solutions, a leading broadband wireless infrastructure vendor and world-leading pioneer in Gigabit Wireless technology, launched a range of high performance, cost-effective microwave radios operating in the 6-38GHz bands, adding to its already extensive portfolio of high performance and cost-effective wireless products.   The company has aimed at point-to-point wireless networks, Last-Mile, Last-Mile, WiMax and Cellular backhaul, corporate backbones and telecom backbone applications.



The new microwave radios use a common flexible platform to transport mixed SDH, PDH and native IP/Gigabit Ethernet traffic from 2Mbps up to 622Mbps capacity using advanced modulation techniques. The new microwave radios offer advanced features such as adaptive power control, powerful forward error correction, spectral efficiency and compact, split indoor/outdoor configuration for a wide range of applications. The solutions offer flexible, reconfigurable network interfaces and feature a software-defined Indoor Unit (IDU), the latter enabling in-service upgrades, remote configuration. These advanced features also ensure a low total cost of ownership.
Operating distances depend on frequency and regional weather conditions with a full range of antenna and capacity options for use over 60km. Microwave planning tools ensure signal propagation matches desired availability requirements up to 99.999% or higher. When operating in lower frequency bands the radios will transmit beyond 60km; in higher frequencies several miles are possible, and more densely packed communications links are also possible at these higher frequencies, making more efficient use of the available spectrum.
CableFree’s extensive portfolio of wireless connectivity products, of which the microwave solution is now its newest member, offer high performance, cost-effective connectivity aimed at a wide variety of applications and users, including: telecom operators, wireless ISPs, CCTV, corporate, education and government users.
