Boingo Wireless Files for IPO

By Ed Silverstein, TMCnet Contributor

Boingo Wireless has filed papers to hold an IPO as it continues to expand globally.

The number of shares and prices they will be sold for were not included in the Initial Public Offering paperwork submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, according to the company’s website.

Boingo (News - Alert) Wireless reported net income of $5.7 million for the nine months ending Sept. 30, 2010. This contrasts with a loss of $145,000 for the same period during the previous year, according to a report from MarketWatch.

Company revenues increased almost 29 percent, totaling some $59 million, in that nine-month period, said MarketWatch.

Credit Suisse Securities and Deutsche Bank Securities will be book-runners for the IPO, according to a Boingo press release. Pacific Crest Securities and William Blair & Company will be co-managers for the IPO, the company press release adds.
