Xirrus' patented Array comes with four, eight, or 16 radios into a single, compact device with an onboard gigabit switch, WiFi controller, threat sensor, and the freshly released integrated spectrum analysis.
Spectrum analyzers are used to analyze the RF interferences caused by other devices in the spectrum. With built-in WiFi threat sensors to monitor the 2.4 and 5 GHz spectrum, the Xirrus Spectrum Analyzer offers unprecedented management of the spectrum. Users have the facility to centrally monitor the complete identification, classification and sourcing of the RF interferences of the entire network with the help of Xirrus Spectrum Analyzer -- all from the desktop and without having to carry a laptop from area to area. The Xirrus Spectrum Analyzer monitors all 802.11
channels, thus allowing users to detect outside sources that may cause network problems or pose a security threat.
"The introduction of the Spectrum Analyzer extends Xirrus' already significant RF management and monitoring capabilities," said Dirk Gates, CEO of Xirrus, in a press release. "The presence of a Spectrum Analyzer on each Array enables IT managers to track down and locate sources of interference that could be causing performance degradation in their WiFi networks."
Xirrus will demonstrate its Spectrum Analyzer solutions during Interop (
