The Nortel (News - Alert) 4G WiMAX solution has been able to fulfill the demands of Hyperconnectivity by facilitating person-to-person, person-to-machine and machine-to-machine communication with secure, high-speed mobile broadband connectivity.

 

Nortel will demonstrate the 4G bandwidth-intensive mobile broadband services that WiMAX can deliver at home, in the office, and on the road at WiMAX (News - Alert) World USA to be held in Chicago.

The versatility of Nortel's WiMAX solution spans from delivering 4G mobile broadband services to reducing the digital divide and providing Internet access to emerging markets and underdeveloped regions.

 

Nortel will also demonstrate the XO laptops from the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) initiative of which it is a founding sponsor. OLPC is designed to make laptops and Internet access affordable for children around the world.
