Alert) testing and certification program helps assure interoperability among 802.11n draft 2.0 products, adherence to security protocols and backward compatibility with previous generations of Wi-Fi gear. The newly-certified SMC products have also achieved certification for the optional Wi-Fi Protected Setup(TM) program, which is designed to ease the task of setting up and configuring security in Wi-Fi networks.
The 802.11n draft 2.0 wireless networking products offer the bandwidth advantages, speed and distance advantages of 802.11n along with backward and cross-vendor compatibility with 802.11 b/g wireless. The products are excellent for such demanding applications as high-def video streaming, network gaming, file sharing and VoIP
, and are able to transfer data at rates of up to 300Mbps.
