Alert) is heading steadily in the future by continually spreading its operations. Most recently, the company reached Rochester, New York with plans to investment more than $50 million in the upstate New York wireless network in 2007.
"It is our goal to give AT&T customers the very best wireless experience possible here in Rochester or wherever else in the country they may travel," said Robert Holliday, AT&T's vice president and general manager for wireless operations in upstate New York. "That means providing great coverage, reliability and high-quality service. Our ongoing investment in the upstate New York network gives customers the benefits of a state-of-the-art voice and data network along with cutting-edge wireless devices."
Three new cell sites are planned in AT&T’s expansion program towards Rochester this year.
The company also announced extensive investment of around $230 million to expand its horizons from Buffalo to Albany within a span of three years. Installing 18 new cell sites, 500 new radios to nearly 350 cell sites throughout New York and 150 new hardware cabinets and power amplifiers to increase capacity is also part of the plan.
With an impressive subscriber base, AT&T has grown exponentially in the past few years and now offers quite a treat for its Rochester customers. Upon the launch of this service, users will be able to quickly access optimized wireless content covering a wide range on their 3G
handsets.
